So recently we decided we would like to explore the cafe’s in our local area without it being our typical Starbucks or Costa Coffee. Driving past this cafe we both had always wanted to go to Espresso Library because of it’s inviting modern interior and good reviews so eventually we decided to go for Sunday brunch .
Neither of us have any specific dietary requirements like Gluten Free or Vegan but Espresso Library do cater for all. A lot of the smoothies and food are completely organic, natural and healthy (that means double the cake). As well as the coffee being locally sourced and vegan options are available.
We then had the tricky decision of what food and drinks we should order as there were so many healthy smoothies available. But finally we had decided on the ‘candy’ which had mango, banana, raspberries, fresh orange juice and vanilla bean powder and the ‘white’ which was homemade organic almond milk, banana, chia seeds, dates and almonds. Out of everything we ordered the drinks were definitely the nicest and we would recommend them.
We ordered smoked salmon and mashed avocado on toast which was organic artisan rye, locally smoked Chapel & Swan salmon, capers and spring onions. Seeing as avocado on toast is a new trend I thought I’d try it and to be honest it didn’t live up to my expectations.
Instead of ordering a meal I decided to go for chocolate Oreo cake which somehow used natural ingredients and didn’t taste too bad! If we ever visit in the future i would stick to ordering just a drink or possibly a different type of cake.
With their cycling themes, unique artwork and a modern place to socialise, read, or work, Espresso Library does have that modern coffee shop vibe which is a great alternative to chain coffee shops if you’re willing to spend a little extra and would be a great place to socialise over brunch.
